Great things happen for kids at Play Fit Fun...AND for parents as well!
I love how the sessions are motivating the boys. Oh, one thing we talked about on the way home…I chatted with the boys about what was happening on the stairs portion of the workout and said that if the person in front of them is walking and they are able to go faster they should politely let the person know that they are going to go ahead and pass them.
My Hope Is...If Andrew does find the motivation and energy at the end of a workout to move a little faster I would love to see him push himself so that’s why I mentioned to him that he could pass as long as he does it safely and politely. Even though he’s not always the fastest moving person, he does seem to have a sense of pride when he does well, as well as embarrassment when he doesn’t (he told me he had the slowest time for the first 50 yard dash so he tried harder the second time and got a much better time...so that was good to hear).
And, not to be left out, the boys are encouraging me to up my time on the treadmill and start using weights, so this has been beneficial for everyone!
Thanks for everything you are doing. I’m rather blown away by all that you have done with this venture. There’s giving 100% and then there is what you are doing, which makes 100% look like a nap on the couch!
